Last week 3D Systems showcased the 3D content to print portfolio at the International Manufacturing Technology show in Chicago, IL. IMTS is the largest and longest running manufacturing technology trade show in the United States and is recognized as one of the world's preeminent stages for introducing and selling manufacturing equipment and technology. Over 100,000 students and professionals attended this year’s trade show – making this the most successful manufacturing event in over a decade!

3D Systems participated in 2 different sections of this show – the Emerging Technology Center and the Student Skills Center. The Emerging Technology Center showcased state of the art and disruptive technologies that will impact manufacturing in the years to come. We participated in the ‘Additive Manufacturing’ part of the ETC with both our ProJet 3500 and our ZPrinter 450. If you are not familiar, the ProJet 3500 prints in high definition and is great for models, real parts, and wax castings while the ZPrinter line is the only full color 3D printers available AND at an affordable price. Students from the Chicago area also got a chance to play around with our newest 3D modeling software, Cubify Invent, in the Student Skills Center area of the IMTS Show. Our teammates gave live demos and walked students through this easy to use software. Also on hand were a few of our 3DTouch printers which are an affordable tool for desktop 3D printing in the workshop or classroom. Additionally we featured our newest consumer focused 3D printer for the home, the Cube . As is typical for tradeshows with 3D Systems, both students and professionals were more than excited about all of our product offerings. IMTS was truly a successful show for us!
