ROCK HILL, South Carolina, November 29, 2010 – 3D Systems (NASDAQ: TDSC), announced today that several local Universities and Colleges agreed to participate in its inaugural RapMan Challenge, a live race to assemble and use a RapMan 3D Printer Kit during the 2010 Euromold Exhibition and Conference held December 1 – 4th in the Frankfurt Germany Exhibition Center, Hall 11.

The RapMan Challenge benefits local University and College design and engineering programs. Representative teams of students will come together during Euromold to compete for the fastest time to assemble and operate a RapMan 3D Printer Kit. Participating institutions include Hochschule fuer Gestaltung Offenbach, Hochschule Coburg and TU Illmenau/Fabrikbetrieb/Production. The winning team will keep its RapMan 3D Printer made by Bits From Bytes and receive an annual supply of free BfB print material.
