"Until now, there's never been a point-cloud solution for Mastercam that works as well as Geomagic software. With RevQuick, I finally have a solution for my customer base."
The difference between RevQuick and previous solutions is Geomagic's patented algorithms for automatically generating accurate surfaces without the need for user expertise. “What used to take a week or more can now be done in a couple of days with RevQuick,” says Jim Dier, Director of Business Development, with Geomagic. "What took days now takes just hours."
The software, specifically targeted for the tool-and-die and molding industries, costs $10,000 per seat—a bargain for the time saved in man hours, according to Kleinheider. "It's very economical, especially compared to anything else out there that claims to be able to do what this software does."
