Seoul, South Korea - July 6, 2010, INUS Technology, Inc. (www.rapidform.com) today announced that Rapidform XOR 3D scanning software has received a "GOOD Software" certification from Korea's Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA). The TTA tests and certifies telecom and IT-related software based on international software quality standards, including ISO/IEC 9126, 14598 and 12119.

Rapidform XOR's certification assures users that the underlying algorithms are accurate and conform to the highest standards of software quality, a critical consideration for companies using Rapidform XOR to create accurate CAD models from 3D scans of physical objects.

Rapidform XOR is a software package that combines 3D scan data processing and parametric solid modeling to give users the ability to create intelligent CAD models from point clouds and polygon meshes. Manufacturers use Rapidform XOR to reverse engineer real world parts for reuse and modification, allowing them to bring products to market faster, leverage existing designs, and reduce product design costs.

Rapidform XOR earned the TTA certification after an exhaustive review of the software itself, as well as its accompanying technical documentation. The TTA set up a test bed that matches exact customer system environments to verify that certified software performs properly in real world conditions. The certification assures customers in Korea and elsewhere that Rapidform XOR is accurate and robust enough for their most demanding applications.

About the TTA TTA is a Korean-based standards organization that develops new standards and provides one-stop services for the establishment of technology standards as well as providing testing and certification for telecommunications and IT products. TTA is a leading standardization development organization in Korea that consults member companies and academia to develop standards within Korea and to further globalize and harmonize Korean standards with the international market.
