BURLINGTON, Mass., USA - SolidWorks World 2010 attendees seeking powerful ways to improve their product designs will have a chance to learn first hand how visually stunning consumer electronics can be created using 3D printing technology from Z Corporation.

The breakout session features Eskild Hansen, senior manager of industrial design for Cisco Consumer Products, and John Kawola, CEO of Z Corporation, who will discuss how 3D printing technology can enable iterative design and innovation. The session takes place Monday, Feb. 1, from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. in Room: 204 A of the Anaheim (California) Convention Center. SolidWorks World 2010, an annual conference bringing together the world's largest 3D CAD community, takes place Sunday through Wednesday.

Hansen is head of the European Design Center for Cisco Consumer Products and co-leader of the group's international design management team. He is responsible for implementing European culture, lifestyle and trends into global and regional product launches.

Cisco designers combine time-honored aesthetic principles with advanced CAD and rapid prototyping technologies to produce simple, functional, and beautiful products like wireless routers for the "connected life." Attendees of the session will learn how the quick, affordable creation of tangible 3D prototypes dramatically improves product quality. Hansen will also touch on the history of design as well as Cisco and Scandinavian Design principles.

Z Corporation will exhibit throughout the conference and expo in Booth 525, showcasing new, advanced 3D printing and 3D scanning technologies, including the world's fastest, most affordable 3D printers and unique handheld 3D laser scanners. These technologies provide dramatic improvements in the speed, ease and quality of product design.

Cisco's Hansen and Z Corporation senior executives will be on hand to learn about attendees' product development challenges and discuss powerful solutions.
