TraumaVision is an orthopedic training simulator in a safe computer environment. Simulated fluoroscopy and force feedback creates a virtual patient that you can practice on over and over again. Results and measurements are given after every surgery procedure.
TraumaVision uses the GHOST® SDK and the PHANTOM® Desktop™ haptic device for basic drill-to-bone-touch which is available "out of the box" with the GHOST SDK. TraumaVision is also able to simulate the realistic scraping sensation when moving the drill alongside the bone.
TraumaVision also simulates a sensation of dense bone in the outer layer and softer bone in the inner layer, as the surgeon would expect, using the PHANTOM haptic device
